Let's see if this turns out to be as fun/useful as people say...

 

Update:  So okay, so far it is fun! I think about 12 months ago I wondered why people used twitter. But I think I was mostly projecting stereotypes of twitter use  (Am I behind the time, or what?). On a day to day basis I usually update my google notes with interesting links and then post the best ones to the fantods when I have time.

 

Now I'm finding I can get quick things of interest out via twitter and update the page later. e.g. tonight I know I'll come home and post here after the Netherlands v Brazil game...

 

I'm also mindful of silly updates. If you choose to follow my twitter feed you'll get a healthy dose of DFW stuff, but also some of my other interests - computer gaming, board gaming, technoogy news, and uktv comedy.

 

My plan is to try this for the 14 weeks I'm on leave and see how it all goes.
