In case you've been wondering where the up to date content is...
I'll just jump straight to it, a family member is seriously ill in hospital. I've been spending a lot of time there, and my motivation to find and publish content here is very low right now.
So I need your help. If you find an interesting piece about DFW please let me know (thanks to those of you who have already done so).
I'm still managing to keep an eye on twitter to tweet bits and pieces, so either follow me (I tweet almost exclusively about DFW content), or keep an eye on the little twitter update box in the left column.
So what's on the horizon?
- D.T. Max's biography of David Foster Wallace, Every Love Story is a Ghost Story: A Life of David Foster Wallace, is due at the end of this month and it is fantastic (my brief impressions are here) I can't imagine a reader interested in David Foster Wallace not finding something to treasure in this book. Reviews are starting to appear (I'll have links when they go web) but I understand there is something in the August issue of Rolling Stone (any clarifications on this are welcome).
- Both Flesh and Not: Essays, is due in November, and galleys are being delivered for review in the lead up. Big thanks to Bonnie Nadell and Little Brown and for my copy (which I've yet to do any more than flick through, but it looks to be a pretty solid 'uncollected essay' collection, and includes a couple of little things I didn't expected to be included - more on that closer to publication).
Thanks for reading.
